The design of the Geribed mattress is intended for people with special needs who are required to spend long periods lying in bed due to reduced mobility or illness.

The Geribed mattress helps you rest and adapts to any type of base (rigid or slatted). It is a highly flexible mattress, making it ideal for adjustable bed bases. Thanks to this quality, it perfectly adapts to the shape of the base. It is designed to relieve pressure and provide the relief we seek from good rest. At the same time, it offers the right firmness and prevents the formation of pressure sores, which are very common during recovery periods. These are delicate moments that require special protection for restorative rest, and Geribed provides it.

Its interior is unique, but the quality of the outer cover also stands out—soft and waterproof, perfect for its purpose.

Its inner core consists of two different layers:

Core 17 cm of 30 kg: the density of the Geribed mattress is ideal to prevent deformation of its surface, providing the right firmness for its therapeutic purposes. It also features an essential characteristic: high breathability.

5 cm of memory foam: on the top we find a 5 cm layer of memory foam. Its properties make it a highly adaptable mattress and improve the sleeper’s rest. Being a memory foam mattress allows it to conform to the shape of the body, reducing pressure and improving sleep quality.

It has been clinically proven that the use of memory foam in rest is linked to pressure reduction and therefore helps improve blood circulation. The combination of all these factors makes rest more comforting.

On the other hand, the 5 cm thickness is the ideal measure for the body to feel supported without experiencing a sinking sensation or adopting unhealthy postures.

Outer cover: The core is wrapped in blue waterproof hospital-grade fabric, a special material that protects the inside of the mattress while respecting and caring for skin contact.

Care and maintenance

  1. Carefully unpack your mattress. Do not use sharp or cutting objects to avoid damaging it.
  2. Although we know you are eager to use it, once unpacked, place it horizontally without putting anything on top for 3 hours.
  3. Avoid getting the mattress wet. You can use a mattress protector to keep it free from stains and moisture.
  4. To ensure even wear, it is ideal to rotate the mattress (from head to foot and vice versa) in the months of January and July and flip it in April and October. (Add icons).
